Over £4,000 has been raised for a young Southport girl who has been diagnosed with Leukaemia.
The fundraising event was held at Playtown, in Ocean Plaza Leisure in Southport, on Friday (23rd February 2024).
The £4,070 raised will go towards four-year-old Arabella’s dream of visiting a UK safari lodge after her family discovered she has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
Families who attended the fundraising event were able to enjoy lots of entertainment; Stitch, Pikachu and Minecraft.character visits; a tombola; face painters; glitter tattoos; raffle; and a cake sale.
Lots of local businesses helped out to ensure the event’s success.
Playtown owners Louie and Tanya Gaffney said: “Wow, what can we say – a huge thank you to all involved on Friday.
“We can confirm and say with a massive smile that we have raised a massive £3,450.
“On top of this on the night a donation of £150 from the Southport Cruisers Motorbike Club and another £100 from a local man, £50 from another biker and £320 from a lady who raised it as her daughter had the same condition.
“So in total on Friday we raised £4,070 which is just insane.
“This is all thanks to you – The businesses that donated, you the customers who bought raffle, tombola and other tickets.
“Genuinely we are so made up to be able to pass this to Arabella’s family.”

100% of proceeds from the event were donated to Arabella’s family so that they can make memories together.
Louie and Tanya Gaffney said: “Four year old Arabella was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia last July.
“This beautiful little girl has been through more than anyone can imagine
“One of Arabella’s dreams is to go to a UK Safari Lodge, where she can enjoy some time with her family with the animals.”
