Sefton Pride is back this summer!

Following the success of last year’s event, there is another march and celebration taking place in Southport again this year!

This Saturday (15th June 2024) you are invited to meet at 11am at Town Hall Gardens (outside Southport Town Hall and The Atkinson).

At 11:30am a march will make its way to Victoria Park.

The march will be led by Sefton youth members to symbolise stepping forward and looking to the future.

Founding sponsors, Curlett Jones, will be next, followed by new sponsors – Acorn Group.

Sefton Pride is also grateful to be sponsored by Fletchers Solicitors for a second year.

At Victoria Park, there will be food, drink and entertainment on offer from 12pm-6pm as well as the chance to speak to organisations from across the borough, who serve the borough, or who have been founded in the borough.

Stall holders include Sefton Women’s and Children’s Aid, Sahir House, and Foster Careline.

Entertainment in Victoria Park will be varied and includes bands, soloists, dancers, a choir and, of course, a drag queen.

Performers announced so far include local singer and fundraiser Sam Hopper, activist and singer Kenny Thompson who brought the house down at last year’s pride and Merseyside vocalist Kriss James who will have you on your feet and singing along.

More acts will be announced this week, follow Sefton Pride CIC on Facebook, or sefton_pride on Instagram to keep up with the latest news!
