Dowhigh Ltd has begun carrying out carriageway resurfacing work to improve Bispham Road in High Park in Southport.
Colleagues from the Sefton-based firm arrived on site today and will continue their project, carried out on behalf of Sefton Council, until Thursday.
These pictures show the extent of the improvements taking place in the area.
A Dowhigh Ltd spokesperson said: “We’re currently working on Bispham Road in Southport on behalf of Sefton Council where we are planing out and resurfacing a section of road between the Wennington Road junction and Athole Grove / Hawthorne Grove.
“Work commenced today and is due to finish on Thursday.

“Diversion routes are currently in place whilst we complete works… apologies for anyone inconvenienced during their journeys there over the next few days.”
Bispham Road, Southport will be temporarily closed for carriageway resurfacing works between Athole Grove and Wennington Road between 10th June 2024 and 14th June 2024.
Access will be maintained for emergency services, and wherever possible for residents.

The diversion route will be via Norwood Avenue, Chester Avenue, Chester Road, Old Park Lane, Bispham Road and vice versa.
