Roxys Cafe, an Italian cafe serving up European delicacies, is opening on London Street in Southport town centre

A stunning Italian cafe serving up European delicacies is opening soon in the heart of Southport town centre.

Roxy’s Cafe, created by well known former Volare staff member Roxana Budoi, who brings her years of expertise to London Street, will open this coming Monday (24th February 2025).

Roxana, born in Romania and a former resident of Italy, is an expert in the finest Italian foods, coffees and fresh baked goods.

As well as her own experiences from Italy, Roxana has spent nearly 8 years working with the team at Volare Southport under the guide of owners Onofrio Maimone and Cinzia Lopalco.

Roxana, also known as Roxy, says she can’t wait to launch her brand new cafe and delicatessen in the coming weeks.

Roxy said: “I was inspired by my two beautiful little girls to take a leap and set up my own business bringing a slice of Italy to the heart of Southport town centre.

“We’re on London Street just a few steps away from Southport station and I cannot wait to welcome everyone to my cosy family coffee shop where you can enjoy all the very best flavours of Italy!

“We specialise in freshly baked goods including croissants, paninis and cakes. This is my dream to create a welcoming space for everyone that brings you the same feeling of home comforts, just like at Volare!

“I can’t wait to share this new chapter with you all and I look forward to welcoming you all soon.”
