Queenscourt Hospice is delighted to announce that its recent Summer Ball was a resounding success, raising over £17,000 to support the continued delivery of compassionate, specialist care across West Lancashire, Formby, and Southport.
Held at The Grand, on Lord Street in Southport, the evening brought together supporters from across the community for a truly spectacular night filled with fun, fundraising, and fantastic entertainment. The Grand provided a stunning venue and served up a delicious meal that set the tone for an unforgettable evening.

Guests were welcomed with a refreshing Pimms drinks reception, kindly sponsored by LWC, before enjoying an action-packed night of entertainment and fundraising.
The event was hosted by the ever-charismatic Alex Toal, who kept the energy high and the crowd engaged throughout the evening. Guests took part in raffles, auctions, and the always-popular Heads and Tails game — this year featuring an incredibly generous prize donated by Churcher Estates.

The atmosphere was beautifully enhanced by Moonlight Events, which provided a stunning flower wall and lighting setup that added a touch of glamour and elegance to the ballroom. Dave Brown Photography and MAF Photography were on hand to capture every special moment.
The entertainment was on fire, with The Proprietors and DJ Baz Todd Events bringing the house down and keeping the dance floor full late into the night.

Speaking about the event, Liz, Fundraising Manager at Queenscourt, said:
“We are absolutely thrilled with how the evening went—it was our first ever sell-out ball, and the atmosphere in the room was just electric from start to finish. To raise over £17,000 in one night is phenomenal, and it will go such a long way in helping Queenscourt continue to provide vital care across our community. We’re so grateful to everyone who supported the event in any way.”

Queenscourt Hospice would like to express heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the ball, as well as to the many generous supporters who donated raffle and auction prizes.
Nights like this highlight the incredible strength and generosity of our community, without whom our work simply wouldn’t be possible.

Once again, thank you to everyone who made the night so special.
