The first Coastal Jam takes place in Southport town centre this weekend Saturday and Sunday 13th and 14th September 2025) – and here’s all you need to know! 

Coastal Jam is a free two-day festival of music and family fun, featuring live music on outdoor stages and a range of activities for all ages. It’s organised by Southport BID and Sefton Council. 

What’s On Saturday 13th September 2025

Coastal Jam kicks off in style on Saturday, with a day of live music and activities set in the new pedestrianised area on Market Street (adjacent to Southport Market).

From 12.00, enjoy a pop-up market featuring trader stalls and a ‘Groove and Grind’ Record fair, as well as free bouncy castles in Southport Market.

Talented local bands and performers will take to the outdoor stage between 14.00 – 18.00.

The line-up for the stage is as follows:

14.00 Coopers Jazz Band

15.00 Lucy Starr

16.00 Clockwork Gibbons

17.00 Kyle Shaw

Food and drink will be available from Southport Market throughout the day alongside the music.

Liverpool-based brass band Sticky Lips will be starting at Market Street at 13.00, before taking a tour around the town centre.

What’s On Saturday 14th September 2025

The focus will be on the Town Hall Gardens on Sunday, with a spectacular stage show featuring children’s entertainment and a setlist of performers and bands from 11.00 – 18.00.

The line-up for the stage is as follows:

14.30 Frank Flight Band

15.30 Sherie Hartill

17.00 Kiki Music Collective

Beside the stage, you’ll find kids activities including a glitter bar and facepainting, with all proceeds going to local charity Compassion Acts.

Visitors can also enjoy food from A Great Little Place, JT Akshaya and Farmhouse Kitchen, with drinks provided by Tap and Bottles and Remedy.

The Atkinson is opening for the special occasion, providing a range of musical activities for families to take part in.

Timings for The Atkinson activities are as follows:

12.00 – 15.00 Make it Craft Workshop

13.00 – 13.30 Street Dance Workshop

14.00 – 14.30 Interactive Family Singing Workshop

15.00 – 15.30 Dance Around the World with Movema

 Coastal Jam Fringe

Throughout the weekend, the Coastal Jam Fringe features gigs in bars and venues across the town centre.
