Morrisons supermarket in Southport is supporting the local community through a number of fundraising events coming up over the next few weeks.
The fun starts tonight (Friday, 25th November 2022) with a Quiz Night at the Guelder Rose pub, on Marine Drive next to Southport Pier.
Morrisons Southport Community Champion Anna Ingram said: “Tonight with thanks to The Guelder Rose, we are holding a quiz night, starting at 8pm.
“It costs £1 per person to take part, with all donations on night going to Together For Short Lives and supporting our nominated hospice Derian House Children’s Hospice. We should be able to apply for match funding for this also.
“On 14th December we are helping Southport Hesketh Round Table with their Santa Float.
“Our Giving Tree is back in the foyer at Morrisons supermarket in Southport and customers are giving more!
“A bauble can be purchased for £1, £2 or £5 with every penny in donations being given via a gift voucher to our nominated cause, Southport Soup Kitchen, to support their ongoing work with local families.
“We are also a drop-off point for the Southport Salvation Army Toy Appeal.
“We also have other things planned which we’ll announce nearer time.”
