Would you like to learn all about Traditional Christmas Wreath Making?
You can learn all about this magical festive art – and take home your own unique creations – at two special events taking place at Southport Market.
Local floristry experts Shelley Harrison, owner of Shelleys Flowers, and Jenny Armstrong, owner of Enhance Events, will be leading the classes at 1.30pm and 6.30pm on Thursday, 1st December and Thursday, 8th December 2022.
They will be leading the classes following lots of requests from local people.
Shelley will be joined by Jenny Armstrong, owner of Enhance Events, another floristry expert.
Jenny created the stunning Christmas decorations at the entrance to Southport Market, and inside as well.
Shelley Harrison said: “After many years of you all asking, I have given in and I’m holding a Christmas wreath workshop at the fabulous Southport Market.
“Come along with friends and family and enjoy a guided class on making your very own Luxury Wreath!

“The workshops will include all materials and equipment needed to make that eye-catching wreath for your own front door! Also a festive mince pie and hot drink will be included.
“There is also a bar and food outlets to enjoy after the sessions at the market to make it a full day of festive fun.
“Give me a message or a call to book on! Everyone is welcome!”
Enhance Events owner Jenny Armstrong said: “Like Shelley, I am also a qualified florist.
“We are both looking forward to showing people all the tips and skills they need to create the perfect traditional Christmas wreath.
“People will be making their wreaths from scratch. We start with the metal ring, and then add the mossing, the ribbons, and then anything else people would like to add.

“This event is aimed at adults, although it might also be suitable for children around 12 years old and upwards.
“It is really nice to have a Christmas wreath hanging on your door that you have made yourself.
“People have been asking Shelley and I for years if we can do something like this event, and we are delighted to be bringing it to Southport Market.”
Sessions cost £50 per person.
