People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners

Neighbours on a Southport street celebrated this after each scooping a £1,000 win through the People’s Postcode Lottery.

A total of 13 people bagged £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.

The neighbours on New Cut Lane netted the windfall when PR8 3DW was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Monday (October 26).

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners.

He said: “What a great way to kick off the week. Congratulations to all the winners in Southport, I hope they enjoy spending the prize money.”

The neighbours’ win follows five further Southport winners who fell lucky last Thursday (October 22).

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted on behalf of the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) which has received more than £3.5 million in funding thanks to players.

RNIB is one of the UK’s leading sight loss charities and the largest community of blind and partially sighted people.

Its focus is on giving people the help, support and tools they need to realise their aspirations.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefited from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
