A family-owned firm has unveiled a winning deal which will make money for customers the more goals that England score in this World Cup – and they hope it costs them a fortune!

Smiths TV, which operates shops in Southport and Formby as well as an extensive website that sells nationwide, is running a deal called ‘England Score… You Score!’

Now that football’s greatest tournament has opened, this fun promotion aims to give people even more reason to cheer on England, as they set their sights on winning their first World Cup since 1966.

If you purchase a qualifying TV during the promotion period, you can earn cashback for EVERY England goal scored during the tournament.

Spend £499–£999.99 and get £5 cashback per England goal

Spend £1,000+ and get £10 cashback per England goal

Whether it’s a last-minute winner or a goal-fest, every England goal could put money back in your pocket.

The promotion runs until the World Cup Final on 19th July 2026, with terms and conditions on the Smiths TV website.

Smiths TV Managing Director Mark Wright said:

“We wanted to launch an exciting offer that would keen people’s interest going the longer that England progress in this World Cup – and we hope it ends up costing us a fortune!

“We’d love to see this ending up as the most expensive promotion we’ve ever run!

“To give people an idea, England scored 13 goals in the last World Cup in Qatar in 2022 – if England score a similar amount of goals in this tournament, then that means we could be paying you £130 cashback if you buy a £1,000 television from us.

“The last time the World Cup was taking place, England had Gareth Southgate in charge, who was quite a cautious manager.

“This time England have Thomas Tuchel leading the team with attacking talents including Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Jude Bellingham, Morgan Rogers, Anthony Gordon and Marcus Rashford, so this could become a very expensive summer for us! You just wonder how far they can actually go.

“We’re all big England fans at Smiths TV and we’ll be cheering them on – we hope this promotion costs us a fortune. Every England goal could cost us thousands of pounds.

“It would be worth it if it means we can finally see England win it!

“It will keep the interest going over the next few weeks. The more goals England score, the more cash we’ll be giving back to our customers.

“There have been some high-scoring games in this tournament so far, such as Germany’s 7-1 win against Curacao, Sweden beating Tunisia 5-1 and the USA beating Paraguay 4-1.

“This deal runs throughout the tournament and we’ll backdate it too, so if you miss the first game or two, you’ll still get the cashback from the goals scored.

“The World Cup is always a great time to buy new televisions anyway, with various manufacturers running great offers.

“LG has a promotion with up to 20% off qualifying TVs.

“Samsung is running an offer where you can enjoy up to £600 cashback on selected models.

“Hisense is giving away free 40 inch TVs with purchases of selected items.

“Our promotion is our own, using our own money, and is in addition to the offers already being advertised by the big manufacturers.  We are backing England with our own cash!

“Sales of new TVs through Smiths TV have already started to build up. The World Cup is a time which brings families and friends together, so it’s a perfect time to invest in brand new televisions.

“We find that the more England win and the further they reach in the tournament the more interest there is and the more excitement builds!

“This is a fantastic summer for live sport too. In addition to the World Cup, we’re also coming up to the Wimbledon Tennis Championship, and of course the big one – The 154th Open Golf Championship here at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport! It’s a summer of unmissable sports.

“Now’s the time to upgrade your viewing experience with a new TV from Smiths TV.

“Whether you’re into movie nights, live sport, next-level gaming, or binge-worthy boxsets, we’ve got a wide range of TVs to suit every home and budget.

“From stunning picture quality to immersive sound and smart features, there’s never been a better time to upgrade your set-up.
