Louise Doran from Level Up Gyms said:
“I wanted to put on a memorial run for my friend, Sharon. Who was also a long-term member of this gym.
“She sadly succumbed to her mental health battle very recently.
“I want to put on an event to celebrate her life and remember her for who she was.
“Sharon was such a party girl. She loved music. She loved to dance. She loved to literally hug absolutely anyone and everyone.

“She was a lovely, amazing girl, so bubbly. She was only 52 when she died – it’s been a massive shock to everyone who knew her.
“She was born and bred in Southport and went to school at Greenbank High. So many people knew and loved her.
“There were over 600 people at her funeral – it was packed, and just shows the huge affection everyone had for her.
“Sharon loved the gym. She loved to party. And she loved giving hugs.
“On Sunday 15th November, we’re coming together at Level Up Gym, Southport to celebrate her.
“We want to remember Sharon the way she would want us to – surrounded by friends, having fun, sharing memories and enjoying life.
“There will be music and good vibes on each route brought by the Neon Running UK team. It will be upbeat and uplifting.
“We want the event to be as inclusive as possible for everyone who wants to take part, which is why we have options for a 5k run, a 3k run or a 3k walk.
“We’ll leave the gym and then head down Eastbank Street, right on Lord Street and up Nevill Street, before the route splits, depending on whether people are doing 5k or 3k.

“This is not a race, this is a coming together to celebrate Sharon and remember her.
“Everyone is welcome, members and non-members, friends, family, former school friends, and anyone whose hearts this may have touched, whether you’re running, walking or just coming along to show your love and support.
“We also have a GoFundMe page for anyone not taking part who would like to donate to Mind: Fundraiser for Louise Doran by Adam Drewett : In Loving Memory of Sharon Armstrong-Williams
“Afterwards, join us back at Level Up Gym for food, drinks, a DJ and a celebration worthy of Sharon.
“Neon Running, a run company from Liverpool, have been invited to help host this event.
“Sharon was a party girl, and Neon Running’s energy and music is an exact match for her personality.”
Stephen Melling from Neon Running said:

“We will have speakers in each group. We are going to bring good energy, good vibes, the tunes are going to be brilliant. It’s also brought by DJ Leo Carter, who’s epic!
