Hole In 1 golf shop paid partnership
The Hole In 1 golf shop in Southport is celebrating being named the 2026 Best Independent Golf Equipment Retailer in Merseyside.
The family-owned business opened its doors at 203 Lord Street in Southport town centre, at the heart of ‘England’s Golf Coast’, on 1st December last year.
It’s been opened by Glyn and Lisa Richards and son, Max, who are delighted to have won the award by AI Global Media.
It crowns a busy year for the family, which included welcoming golf fans from around the world when The 154th Open Golf Championship was played at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport in July.
Glyn, Lisa and Max said: “It is an absolute honour to be named Best Independent Golf Retailer 2026!
“For the last 10 months we made a promise to bring the best brands at the best prices to the area and awards like this just motivate us even more to keep doing what we do best.
“We would like to say thank you to everyone involved, all of our collaborators and most of all our customers.
“We are made up to have won this award.
“We have worked tirelessly since we opened last year to make this business work.
“This award shows that we are doing all the right things for our customers.
“We are going to keep going and will keep pushing the boundaries to see what we can do during the rest of this year and next year too.
“Our customer base has definitely been growing this year! We are seeing more and more regulars coming in to shop with us.
“There are lots of things we are working on at the moment. We are enjoying working with The Golf Lock Up in Southport. We are planning more new initiatives too.
“We are adding more brands and more depth to our stock all the time.”
The Hole In 1 golf shop is preparing for a busy end of year.
Glyn, Lisa and Max said: “There is lots for customers to enjoy. We have our Clearance Event running throughout October, with some fantastic bargains.
“We are giving customers over three months to exchange Chritsmas gifts if they buy now in the Clearance Event.
“Then we have our Black Friday offers, which you can enjoy during November, and then the lead-up to Christmas, where we will have some great offers, and lots of new stock.
“We are looking forward to a very busy few weeks!
“As well as our shop, we also run an excellent website which people can browse to find exactly what they need.
“We’d like to thank everyone who’s supported us this year.”
