A brand new bar with beautiful views across the Marine Lake and King’s Gardens in Southport is now open!

The Balcony Bar has been opened at the rear of Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant on the Promenade.

It follows substantial customer demand and means diners can now enjoy a glass of wine or beer with their fish and chips inside the restaurant.

People can also sit with a cold drink in the balcony area overlooking the views across the lake and the park as they soak up the sunshine.

Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant has also undergone a substantial renovation over the winter months, with a new look and a new system of ordering which makes ordering even faster and more efficient.

Silcock Leisure Group Operations Manager Serena Silcock -Prince said: “We are delighted to be able to offer fizz and chips to our diners!

“We have had so many customers asking us for wine or beer with their meals.

“We now have a real choice to offer people with draught beers, wines, Prosecco, spirits and more.

“People can also sit back on our balcony outside and enjoy the views, one of the best in Southport!

“We’ve had a really busy Easter period so far. It’s great seeing lots of visitors coming back to Southport to enjoy days out here.

“We have even had our first celebrity in the Balcony Bar, when Liverpool comedian Paul Smith came in with his family!

“We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to enjoy our new Balcony Bar.”
