Embrace the vibrant spirit of Ukraine at the Atkinson in Southport today (Saturday 24th February 2024). 

On the last day of the Echoes of Ages exhibition, and the second anniversary of the Russia  /Ukraine war, visitors are invited to enjoy a celebration of Ukrainian culture. 

In the evening, The Atkinson will light up yellow and blue to mark this anniversary, and the end of the exhibition.

You can learn all about Ukrainian traditions, art and food between 10.30am and 3.30pm. 

Admission is free, with a drop-in event. Donations are welcome. 

Itinerary:

All of the practical workshops are first come first served. You may be expected to wait until a space becomes available.

10:30am – 3:30pm
Petrykivka Painting: A Ukrainian Folk Art Workshop
Art Box
Learn the secrets of this intricate decorative style, characterised by swirling floral motifs and vibrant colours. Create your own stunning masterpiece to take home.

Sample a traditional Ukrainian luncheon with Valentina.

What is Petrykivka Painting?
