A team of 30 determined fundraisers from EFT Group in Southport have completed Tough Mudder to support two super local charities.

They took on the challenge on Saturday (10th October 2026) at The Cheshire County Showground, “in the kind of ground that looks easy right up until you’re standing in it”.

So far they have raised over £12,000 for Alice’s WonderDance and My Mind Matters CIC.

An EFT Group spokesperson said:

“We did it! On Saturday, 30 of us from EFT Group took on the 15K Tough Mudder challenge — and what a day it was!

“We’re delighted to share that we’ve already smashed our £7,500 fundraising target, but with sponsorships still coming in, every extra donation will make a difference to our two fantastic charities:

My Mind Matters CIC

Alice’s WonderDance

“Our sponsorship link is still open for the next few days, so if you’ve been meaning to donate, there’s still time to show your support!

“A full video and photo update from the day is coming soon, and we’ll be sharing our final fundraising total as soon as all the donations have been counted!

“A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, shared our link and supported the team. Your generosity means so much to both charities.

“We were climbing, crawling, running, and battling our way through mud, obstacles, and plenty of moments that tested our determination. But we didn’t do this for medals or personal achievement – we did it for two causes that are incredibly close to our hearts: Alice’s Wonderdance and My Mind Matters.

“Alice’s WonderDance brings joy, confidence, and opportunities to children and young people through the power of dance, helping them shine, build friendships, and believe in themselves.

“My Mind Matters provides vital support for mental health and wellbeing, ensuring that those struggling know they are not alone and have somewhere to turn when they need it most.

“As a team, we know that the mud, the ice baths, and the obstacles are temporary.

“The challenges faced by the people supported by these charities are often much greater and far more enduring.

“Every donation, no matter the size, will help these incredible organisations continue their life-changing work.”
