The school Easter holidays are here in Southport with lots to entertain families in Southport.
Head down to the Promenade over these next two weeks and you might even come face to face with the Easter bunny!
The Easter bunny will be making appearances throughout the next fortnight at Silcock’s Funland, Silcock’s Carousel and Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant.
All attractions will be open, greeting visitors, every single day of the school Easter holidays.
Silcock’s Funland is Southport’s biggest indoor amusement centre.
It offers fantastic value, with games starting at just 2p, and Easter themed prizes to be won.
There are a number of children’s rides inside.
A recent addition is the new Millie’s Diner, with the Funland cafe seeing both the interior and the menu revamped to offer cool new items such as pizza slices, nachos, hot dogs and loaded fries.
A great addition this Easter are the new Millie’s Milkshakes, which come in a variety of flavours.
Kids will love the Easter Egg ice creams, the Creme Egg Swirls and the Mini Egg Swirls.
Visitors can enjoy the famous seaside tradition of fish and chips or ice creams while sitting inside or outside Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant, which has beautiful views across the adjacent King’s Gardens and the Marine Lake.
People can also sit back and enjoy the views with a drink in hand looking out from the Balcony Bar.
Fancy a laugh? Walk through the free Hall Of Mirrors for views of yourself and your family or friends that you’ve never seen before!
The flagship ride is Silcock’s Carousel, also known as The Golden Gallopers, an impressive Victorian attraction built in 1901 Savages of Kings Lynne which has entertained many generations of families.
All sit proudly on the Promenade, a scenic part of the seaside resort between the Lord Street boulevard and the seafront.
Silcock’s Operations Manager Serena Silcock-Prince said:

“There are so many reasons for people to come and visit Southport and Kings Gardens.
“The Easter Bunny is looking forward to saying hello to everyone at Funland, the Carousel and the Pier Restaurant!
“There is lots more to enjoy in Kings Gardens too including the adventure playground, with Masters crazy golf and the boats on the Marine Lake open every day too.
“You can enjoy a packed day of fun in King’s Gardens without breaking the bank.
“We are really looking forward to seeing all the vintage buses running along the Promenade on Sunday (29th March 2026) as part of this year’s Southport Heritage Running Day, raising funds for Elsie’s Story.
“There are so many things for people to enjoy in Southport this Easter, with some superb places to visit and lots of events happening.”
The 121-year-old Silcock’s Carousel was built in 1901 in the reign of Queen Victoria.
It was recognised as the fourth best seaside attraction in Britain in the 2023 Bucket and Spade List, organised by the The Seaside Heritage Network.
Herbert Silcock’s Golden Gallopers, on Southport Pier Forecourt, weighs 18 tons, is 42 ft in diameter and 18 ft tall.
The Gallopers ride features 33 horses, each named after members of the Silcock family or family friends, and one dedicated to Princess Anne after her recent visit to the resort.
