A brand new radio show is launching in Southport this April – The Thursday Night Sleep Over!
The new show on Mighty Radio will be presented by Serena Silcock-Prince and Sarah McEntee.
The first show will be on air on Thursday 2nd April 2026.
It will then be broadcast live every Thursday from Mighty studios in the heart of Southport town centre between 7pm and 9pm.
It promises to be a fun mix of music, chats, laughs, community updates and phone-ins.
Grab a cuppa or a glass of fizz…(well it’s nearly the weekend!) and ask your smart speaker to play ‘Mighty Radio 107.9 FM’.
The Thursday Night Sleep Over hosts Serena SP Sarah MC and are ready and raring to go.
Serena Silcock-Prince said:
“Community radio is so important. It really brings people together.
“We were thrilled when asked by the Mighty team to have our own show.
“I’m Southport born and bred. I love to support our town and showcase how wonderful our community is. Plus I’m a fan of mighty FM, having been a guest on both Chris and David’s show. It’s incredible to be a part of the team!
“Sarah MC brings lots of fun and experience having worked on Heart FM for many years.
“We will be a great team!
“Follow our socials and tune in on your radio or smart speaker!”
Sean Connolly from Mighty Radio said:
“Mighty Radio is excited to welcome two brand-new voices to our airwaves!
“Starting on 2nd April, our new presenters Sarah MC and Serena SP will be hosting the Thursday Sleep Over Show every Thursday evening, bringing great music, lively conversation, and plenty of late-night fun to keep you company.
“With their fresh energy and friendly style, they’re ready to make your Thursday nights even better.
“Tune in, get comfortable, and enjoy the perfect soundtrack to your evening with our newest hosts!”
Sarah McEntee said:
“I fell in love with radio years ago and was lucky enough to make a career out of it, hosting breakfast shows down south for Heart FM.
“Radio has always been the heartbeat of every community, and over time, that’s been a bit lost.
“Bringing this show to Mighty Radio feels like coming home and a perfect way to celebrate our amazing town.
“I can’t wait to get behind the mic again, and teaming up with Serena, who knows this town like the inside of her eyelids, means it’s going to be a laugh, a listen, and the only Thursday night appointment you’ll need. Set your reminders!”
