Drishti Point Yoga in Wayfarers Arcade in Southport town centre is celebrating its official opening with a big launch event this Saturday (2nd May 2026) during May Bank Holiday Weekend.
The new yoga studio is situated on the first floor of Wayfarers Arcade, on Lord Street.
It’s next door to The Hair Lounge Collective, which is inviting people to an Open Day this Saturday too.
It will be a busy weekend in Southport town centre, with 18 free circus performances to enjoy across five stages in Southport town centre as the brand new Big Top Festival takes place this Saturday and Sunday.
Drishti Point Yoga is looking forward to welcoming people to come and have a look around and chat to members as well as owner and yoga instructor Sue Jones.
There will also be live entertainment in the arcade:
12pm – Surfin’ U3A
1.30pm – Night Cargo
Members of Southport U3A will also be showcasing their crochet and painting skills.

Drishti Point occupies the first floor unit of Wayfarers Arcade previously occupied by Dad’s Guitars and by Kernaghan Books before that.
The new studio offers a quiet space inside a beautiful Victorian arcade – perfect for yoga, meditation and mindfulness!
Sue Jones said: “I’m looking forward to our launch event this Saturday and would like to welcome anyone who’d like to call in, take a look around the studio, and find out more!
“You can come and have a chat with me, or any of my members, and ask any questions about what we offer.
“We’ll have some brilliant live music to enjoy too with the likes of Surfin’ U3A, Night Cargo and Geriatrics & The Pacemakers.
“Things have been going really well since we opened inside Wayfarers Arcade. I love it here.
“Our classes have been very busy!
“Some of my members have told me they’re planning to come to the launch wearing t-shirts saying ‘We Love Sue’s Yoga!’
“This is a really big May Bank Holiday Weekend for Southport with lots going on.
“The new Big Top Festival sounds so exciting and we have plenty to enjoy inside Wayfarers Arcade as well.”
Sue and her husband Steve worked hard this year to transform the first floor unit at Wayfarers Arcade into the new Drishti Point Yoga.
They’re painted the walls, replastered the ceiling, added new window vinyls and have fitted new curtains.
Sue’s teaching style focuses on gentle Hatha Yoga, moving at a relaxed pace and guiding you through each stage so you can practise at the level that feels right for you.
Classes include:
Hatha Yoga – a classic, gentle practice focusing on posture, breath and balance
Chair Yoga – perfect for those with limited mobility or looking for a more supported practice
Pranayama & Meditation – breathing techniques and meditation to calm the mind and reduce stress
Yoga Nidra – a deeply relaxing guided “yogic sleep” meditation
Angelic Reiki – a calming spiritual healing practice
Whether you’re completely new to yoga or returning to your mat, there is a welcoming space for you at Drishti Point at Wayfarers Arcade.
