Crave Pizza has installed a huge outdoor TV screen so people can enjoy big events including the Euro 2024 football tournament, the Wimbledon tennis championship and more.

The venue, in the Town Hall Gardens on Lord Street in Southport town centre, has already been welcoming fans to watch the first games this weekend.

Owners say they will screen every match of the 2024 Euros, with England among the favourites to win.

Owner Matt Gregson said: “We have invested in bringing in a 100 inch TV screen to the outdoor area outside Crave, as well as installing some new outside tables.

“People have been really enjoying the football! It’s been an exciting start to the tournament, with lots of goals and some great results.

“Pizza, football and beer – what more could you ask for?!

“People can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere when they come, with a variety of slices of pizza; a choice of cold beers, soft drinks, hot drinks; and tables outside so they can watch the games.

“This is the best place in town to watch Euro 2024.

“We can’t wait for England’s first game, against Serbia this Sunday evening.

“Southport is a very multicultural town so we will be screening every game of the tournament, Whether you support England, France, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, or whoever, the games will be on here.

“As well as Euro 2024, we will also have the opportunity to screen the Wimbledon tennis championship later this summer.

“Crave is a popular place for people to host children’s parties, so we will be able to offer screenings for those as well.

“Our new big screen gives us options for doing all sorts of things.”

England have come so close to winning previous Euro and World Cup tournaments without taking home a trophy since 1966. Could that be about to change?

Matt said: “I am a big England fan. I always hope for the best! It’s time we won something.

“I am hopeful of England doing well in this tournament, despite our showing last week.

“Can England win this time? I don’t want to say no.

“It will certainly be great for everyone in hospitality if England can get to the final again.

“They should certainly be exciting to watch, with talented players like Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer, Declan Rice and others.

“There are some other really exciting teams to watch in this tournament too so we are looking forward to showing every game.

“Apart from England, I think Germany looks really strong, but there are other top teams like France, Portugal, Italy and Spain.

“It’s going to be a superb tournament and we hope people come and watch it with us.”
