Southport Comedy Festival is delighted to announce yet another big name for this year’s star studded Southport Comedy Festival in association with Halliwell Jones BMW.
The event takes place in their heated and seated Elite Marquees luxury marque at Victoria Park in Southport this autumn.
Comedian and actor Tom Davis brings his new show Underdog to the Southport Comedy Festival on Thursday 5th October 2023.
Tom is best known for hit shows King Gary, The Curse, Murder In Successville, Live At The Apollo and his hugely popular podcast Wolf and Owl with Romesh Ranganathan.
Davis began his career on The Morgana Show and The Comic Strip Presents before appearing in numerous Keith Lemon projects, Big School, Plebs, Jekyll & Hyde and Stag. He was later named a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit after Murder in Successville, which he co-created and starred in, became a cult hit.
On the big screen Tom has starred in The Bad Education Movie, Paddington 2 as one of Paddington’s inmates T Bone. Tom is set to appear in the upcoming Wonka film.
The comedian has also appeared on Judge Romesh, A League of Their Own and more recently on The Great Celebrity Bake Off.
Embarking on his biggest tour to date with his brand new show, ‘Underdog’, Tom will be exploring life as the longshot.
From leaving school with no qualifications to years working on building sites, all the way to the difficult road to fatherhood, acting in blockbuster films and yet still being told he’s punching by a waiter.
Big Tom Davis’ return to stand up should not be missed.
His work in progress show which runs until June has completely sold out and his tour which starts in September already has lots of sold-out dates and limited availability, expect his Southport date to be no different.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday 4th May at 10am.
Tom Davis is the seventh name to be announced for this year’s 17 day event which will be held once again in a luxury heated and seated marquee courtesy of Elite marquees at Victoria Park. Irish funnymen and festival favourites Jason Byrne and Jimeoin, world-famous prankster and Lee Nelson creator Simon Brodkin, star of I’m a Celebrity Seann Walsh, Phoenix Nights Clinton Baptiste and King of the one liner and star of Mock the Week Gary Delaney are already on sale with more exciting names to be announced in the next few days and weeks.
