The brand new Sinclair’s Bar, Cocktail Lounge & Rooms is now open!
Owners of the stylish venue, at 589 Lord Street in Southport, have thanked the huge numbers of people who have come to visit Sinclair’s during its launch on the busy St Patrick’s weekend.
Previously Peaky Blinders Bar, the rebrand to Sinclair’s honours founder John Sinclair and celebrates the rich traditions of whiskey bars and public houses in London and New York.
Customers can enjoy a wide selection of cask ales, draught lagers, a new cocktail and a wine menu, and a large selection of whiskey and spirits.
The Cocktail Lounge offers an exclusive setting for events.

Owner Melanie Sinclair said: “Thank you for making our launch incredible!
“We couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who joined us at the grand opening of Sinclair’s Bar!

The venue is at the heart of Southport’s ‘Northern Quarter’, which has seen huge investment in recent years to make it the place to be for people enjoying a fun night out or a relaxing afternoon.

Melanie Sinclair said the bar’s rebrand is a fitting tribute to her husband, John, who opened the original Peaky Blinders bar in Southport in 2015. He tragically died in 2020.
She said: “We are excited to introduce Sinclair’s Bar, Cocktail Lounge and Rooms to our loyal customers and the wider community.

“With our rebrand, we aim to pay tribute to John, whilst also embracing the timeless traditions of whiskey bars and public houses.
“The bar has undergone a full refurbishment and a new look, and we are very excited to welcome our existing and new customers to this fabulous location on Lord Street.
“We believe that Sinclair’s will not only honour John’s memory, but also provide visitors with an experience that reflects his passion for hospitality and camaraderie.”

The extensive refurbishment has seen the creation of four new jobs in the local community.
Sinclair’s will continue to offer a vast selection of cask and draught beers, a new classic cocktail menu, and an extensive wine list.
In addition, Sinclair’s Cocktail Lounge next door to the main bar will offer an exclusive and intimate setting for cocktails and drinks, complementing the vibrant atmosphere of the main bar area.

The Cocktail Lounge is also available for a wide range of private events.
The decision to rebrand from Peaky Blinders Bar to Sinclair’s reflects the bar’s evolution, and the enduring legacy of its founder, John Sinclair. His vision for creating a welcoming space where friends can gather, share stories, and create memories will live on in every aspect of Sinclair’s.
