Christ The King High School staff members complete Cathedral relay for Queenscourt Hospice and Southport Foodbank

Mr Oliver and Mrs Durkin from Christ The King Catholic High School in Southport ran a two-part relay from Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral in Liverpool back to the school to raise money for Queenscourt Hospice and Southport Foodbank

Two staff members from Christ The King Catholic High School in Southport ran a two part relay from Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral to raise money for Queenscourt Hospice and Southport Foodbank. 

Mr Oliver and Mrs Durkin completed the challenge in under two and a half hours last Thursday (16th May 2024) and have raised over £1,400 for the school’s two house charities, thanks to the generosity of pupils, staff, families and the local community.

A Christ The King spokesperson said: “A total of 18 pupils from years 7, 8 and 9 joined Mr Oliver and Mrs Durkin for the last mile of the run. 

“The money raised will be split evenly between the two charities and will go a long way to helping people in our local community.
