Two staff members from Christ The King Catholic High School in Southport ran a two part relay from Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral to raise money for Queenscourt Hospice and Southport Foodbank.
Mr Oliver and Mrs Durkin completed the challenge in under two and a half hours last Thursday (16th May 2024) and have raised over £1,400 for the school’s two house charities, thanks to the generosity of pupils, staff, families and the local community.

A Christ The King spokesperson said: “A total of 18 pupils from years 7, 8 and 9 joined Mr Oliver and Mrs Durkin for the last mile of the run.
“The money raised will be split evenly between the two charities and will go a long way to helping people in our local community.

“Thank you to everyone who has given their time or money to make this event a success.
