Southport Comedy Festival paid partnership
Organisers of The Southport Comedy Festival are delighted to announce that one of Britain’s best-loved comedians, Chris McCausland, will make a welcome return to Southport next October with his brand-new stand-up show, Waffle, performing for two nights on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th October 2027. Tickets are on sale now.
Chris’s last touring show, Yonks, was a huge box-office success, selling out venues nationwide. His previous appearances at the Southport Comedy Festival in 2025 proved equally popular, with both performances selling out. Following that success, we’re thrilled to welcome him back for two nights of brand-new comedy.
Chris is the second major name to be announced for the 16th annual Southport Comedy Festival, which returns for an action-packed 17 days, from Friday 1st to Sunday 17th October 2027.
He joins Ireland’s Queen of Comedy, Deirdre O’Kane, who will bring her brand-new show All The Rage to the festival on Saturday 9th October 2027. Tickets for Deirdre’s performance are already selling fast.
The 2027 festival will be staged for a seventh consecutive year in the beautiful surroundings of Victoria Park, home of the world-renowned Southport Flower Show. Audiences will once again enjoy the festival’s unique atmosphere under canvas in a giant luxury, heated and seated marquee, courtesy of Elite Events.
Following a record-breaking 2026 festival, which welcomed more than 7,000 comedy fans over 17 days and delivered a record eleven sell-out shows, anticipation is already building for another fantastic year of live comedy in Southport.
More big names and exciting show announcements will be revealed soon. To be among the first to hear who’s joining the 2027 line-up, sign up to the festival mailing list at:
