A Children’s Charity Concert takes place from 4pm this Saturday (29th August 2026) in Holy Trinity Church, on Hoghton Street in Southport town centre.
Event organiser Jan Rayner said: “Allegretto are performing a concert to raise money for Bebe’s Hive, Alice’s Wonderdance and Elsie’s Story.
“Allegretto are performing a range of instrumental and choral music featuring the Armed Man a Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins.
“The wish for peace in Southport and for the families involved in the attack, is echoed in the music.
“All the music is accessible for children, especially the lively and comical madrigals by Ravenscroft.
“Some of the other music in the programme is Summertime by Gershwin, Spitfire Prelude by Walton and the last movement of Weber’s first Clarinet Concerto.
“Holy Trinity Southport are looking forward to welcoming everyone into their building.
“There will be a raffle and refreshments in the interval.
