The wheels on 34 new Euro 6 Low Emission Arriva buses will be going round on the roads of Southport and across Merseyside from this Sunday (23rd January).
The new buses represent an investment of £7.4 million from Arriva and will all feature Audio Visual stop announcement, Free WiFi and USB charging ports to help enhance on board passenger experience.
A total of 10 Single Deck Wrights StreetLite buses will be introduced to Southport on route 46 running between Hillside and High Park and route 49 running between Crossens and Woodvale.

And a further 24 Double Deck Wrights Street Deck buses will be introduced in Liverpool on route 10B running between Huyton and Liverpool and route 14 running between Croxteth and Liverpool.
Richard Hoare, Arriva North West and Wales Commercial Director said “We are delighted to be able to commit such a strong level of investment into the Merseyside bus network, we recognise public transport as one of the key ways to help protect our environment for the future and save our planet! That is why we are proud to be introducing 34 Ultra low emission vehicles into our fleet.”
