Birkdale Village in Southport is inviting families to enjoy its annual Christmas Fayre this Sunday (1st December 2024).
The popular festive event, organised by Birkdale Civic Society, will take place between midday and 6pm with some exciting new additions for people to enjoy.
A brand-new stage will take centre stage on Alma Road, next to the village Christmas Tree.
Throughout the day, you can enjoy a full schedule of live entertainment and performances guaranteed to get you into the festive spirit.
You can discover festive gifts at the Christmas Market on Weld Parade.
It will include a brand new festive marquee adorned with festoon lighting.
Look out for Father Christmas and Squirrel the Shetland Pony as they roam the village spreading Christmas cheer. It’s a great opportunity to get your Christmas photos taken
Several fairground rides, offering thrilling rides for all ages, will be located throughout the village.
A special surprise will be revealed through a uniquely hand-knitted Father Christmas, lovingly crafted by the Southport Hookers.
There will be lots of festive food and drink with delicious treats, mulled wine, mince pies, and much more from external stall holders and beloved village traders.
There will be opportunities to win prizes with raffles on offer.
Families will gather for the Grand Finale at 5pm, gathering around for the Christmas Tree Light Switch On.
This year’s tree stands over 20 feet tall, generously sponsored by Natalie Silcock and her family, with the tree supplied by Rainford Christmas Trees.
