A beautiful shop for babies, toddlers, young children and parents in Southport is celebrating its first birthday this summer.
Tiny Treasures of Churchtown is located on Botanic Road in the heart of the picturesque Churchtown Village. Lauren Baker, owner of Tiny Treasures took the leap to open her own shop whilst on maternity leave with her youngest, Zachary last year. With over 12 years of retail experience from shop floor to field management, Lauren was ready to strike a better work life balance.
Tiny Treasures offers a carefully curated range of sustainable toys and accessories with brands including Maileg, Olli Ella, Little Dutch, Chelsea Peers, Alphabet Bags as well as lots of local makers including Murphys Sketches. We stock a selection of Kerris cards, prints and her first book, ‘A Book to Brighten Your Day’.

The shop will celebrate its first birthday on Sunday, 7th July 2024, after a successful first 12 months in business which has seen it attract a growing following of customers both locally and around the UK.
As well as its shop, Tiny Treasures also operates a comprehensive website with a wide variety of products to choose for babies, toddlers, young children, older children and mums.
Owner Lauren Baker said: “I’m very excited to be celebrating our first birthday at Tiny Treasures this July! The shop will be open both Saturday & Sunday to celebrate this milestone.

“I’m really happy to have opened in Churchtown Village.
“Botanic Road is a real destination street, full of lots of good quality local independent businesses, and we’re very close to the Botanic Gardens park too. The village is such a great community and I feel very privileged to be part of it.
“Lots of new businesses have opened in the Village in recent months, with lots for people to explore.
“I opened Tiny Treasures a year ago because I felt there was a real gap for a concept store. “We get lots of customers looking for gifts to ship further afield and have seen our items go as far as Norway, Canada and Australia’’

“We also operate a Tiny Treasures website with a comprehensive range which people can order to collect from our shop free of charge. For those outside of area we ship around the UK and offer free delivery on all orders over £50.
Our ranges cover from newborn to pre-school with a few items suitable for older children such as our Crayon Box crayons and pavement chalks. We have a range of Chelsea Peers pyjamas which make an ideal Baby Shower gift for anyone expecting a baby.
Our Alphabet ‘Everything’ bags are extremely popular and are great for everyday life, beach trips and more.

“People are always welcome to call in, have a look around and ask if there’s anything specific they need.
“We do regular pop-ups with local businesses which work really well. I’m always interested in hearing from anyone keen on collaborating and showcasing their work.
“Fred & Pearl often run workshops in school holidays which allow children to make fabric rainbows and friendship bracelets. The bracelet workshops have proved very popular amongst locals with the upcoming Taylor Swift Eras Tour. We’ve had people travel from Preston to attend these.

To complement our focus on sustainable goods, we added a ‘pre-loved’ rail last year which was initially going to be temporary but due to its popularity has now become a permanent fixture. We also purchase pre-loved, so if you’re looking to part with any children’s clothing from newborn-2 years please get in touch.
“People should keep an eye on our social media pages for news of our latest products, offers and details of classes and events we have coming up.”

We have been blown away by the support we’ve received during our first year of trading and hope to see some familiar faces on our birthday weekend as well as lots of new faces. There will be cake!
