A senior figure from the Bank of England will be the guest speaker at the next InvestSefton Financial & Professional Networking Group meeting.
Ken Clark, the Bank of England Deputy Agent for the North West, will provide an economic update for guests.
He is also keen to listen to people’s views on the local economy.
The meeting will be held at Bootle Firwood Cricket Club, Wadham Road, Bootle L20 2DD on Thursday 19th October 2023. Parking is available on site.
This is a networking group for Sefton based businesses who are part of the financial and professional sector including accountants, solicitors, estate agents, surveyors etc.
This networking group meets twice a year at alternating venues in North and South Sefton.
The schedule is:
8am-9am – Breakfast and Networking
9am-9.30am – Presentation from Ken Clark, Bank of England
9.30-10am – Networking and Business Marketplace
Ken Clark joined the Bank as Deputy Agent for the North West in April 2022.
A former academic, he has published widely in the area of labour economics and held a number of leadership roles in higher education.
Between 2015 and 2021 Ken served as the economist member of the School Teachers’ Review Body which advises the Department for Education on teacher pay in English schools.

“At the last networking group which was held in April, over 50 businesses attended and feedback from the event was very positive.
“Ken Clark from the Bank of England will be providing an Economic Update at this event.
“Ken is also interested to hear and gain an insight into our local economy.
“This information is important as it can help shape and influence future policies.”
