Award-winning hairdresser Kelly Stevens is aiming to be a cut above when she competes in Strictly Queenscourt this November.

Kelly will be joining other local people competing in the iconic Ballroom at The Prince Of Wales Hotel on Lord Street in Southport on Saturday 14th November 2026.

Kelly, who runs the Unique Hair & Beauty salon on Duke Street in Southport, won the title of the UK’s Best Bridal Hairdresser 2026 at the National Beauty Awards UK & Ireland earlier this year.

She is celebrating 16 years in business at Unique Hair & Beauty this year.

Kelly said: “Some of you may already know me, but if not, you might not have seen that this year I’m taking on a brand-new challenge and dancing in Strictly Come Dancing for Queenscourt Hospice.

“I’ve been fundraising for Queenscourt for many years, but this year I wanted to take on a challenge I’ve never done before. After doing things like running and a skydive, this year I’m taking to the dance floor!

“I’ve also signed up to run a 10K in October to help my training, and then in November I’ll be dancing at Strictly Queenscourt.

“Queenscourt holds a very special place in my heart. They supported my family with my grandad, who my little boy is named after, and the care and support they gave us meant so much.

“With Queenscourt struggling more than ever at the moment, I really feel this is such an important year to get behind them and raise as much as we possibly can.

“I’m currently collecting raffle prizes from local businesses so I can put together two amazing hampers, with a first and second prize. These will be raffled off on the night of Strictly Queenscourt, with the winners being drawn by the judges.

“If you’re able to donate a voucher, prize or anything your business could offer, it would be hugely appreciated. In return, I’ll be sharing and promoting the businesses who kindly donate across my social media.

“My main focus is simply raising as much money as possible for Queenscourt, so honestly, any help at all would mean so much to me.

“Thank you so much for taking the time to read my message and for considering supporting me and Queenscourt.”

Kelly said: “I was incredibly honoured to win Best Bridal Hairdresser 2026 earlier this year.

“As a small, independent business owner, this means so much to me.

“This year I am incredibly proud to be celebrating 16 years in business at Unique Hair & Beauty.

“What started as a small mobile hair and beauty service run from my car has grown into the salon I opened eight years ago — something I once only dreamed of.

“Throughout the year, I was also lucky enough to be part of 27 beautiful weddings, working with wonderful brides at some truly stunning venues.

“Being announced as a winner at the National Beauty Awards was an emotional and unforgettable moment for me, and one I will cherish forever.

“It was such a special night celebrating everyone’s hard work as we welcomed the 2026 awards year together.

“I absolutely love what I do, my little salon, and the amazing clients and brides who trust me to be part of their special moments.

“Their support, loyalty, and kindness are the reason I get to do a job I truly love every single day.”
