Queenscourt Hospice has completed the Grand Reopening of its retail shop in Burscough in West Lancashire.

The official opening was carried out by Margaret Tarpey, former Chair and long-standing member of the Queenscourt Retail Board.

The shop, at 33 Liverpool Road North in Burscough, is one of five operated by the hospice.

The others are situated on Chapel Street, Southport town centre; Cambridge Road, Churchtown; Bispham Road, High Park; and Brows Lane, Formby.

Queenscourt’s shops play a vital role in raising vital funds to support the ongoing care provided by the hospice.

They also enable people to recycle pre-loved goods in an environmentally responsible way while also offering great value for local families.

A Queenscourt Hospice spokesperson said: “We’re thrilled to announce the Grand Reopening of our Queenscourt Burscough charity shop after a stunning refurbishment!

“A huge thank you to the amazing team at DPI UK who generously installed our new shop-fittings for free as well as building us a fabulous new till counter.

“We were honoured that Margaret Tarpey, former Chair and long-standing member of the Queenscourt Retail Board, performed the official ribbon-cutting, welcoming our customers and supporters back in store.

“We were also delighted to have Stuart Baker, fellow Retail Board Member, attend the reopening.

“A special shoutout to our wonderful Queenscourt Retail Team and DPI UK for working tirelessly to complete this transformation in under a week.

“It’s been heartwarming to see so many familiar faces visiting us already – we can’t wait to welcome even more of you soon!”
