People are enjoying seeing the sunshine back! These sunny few days have led to a growth in calls to Southport lighting firm illumiDex UK Ltd, which has been busy installing festoon lighting outside people’s homes.
IllumiDex Director Steve Clayton is advising people that now is the perfect time to spruce up their gardens ready for welcoming back friends and family.
The past few months have seen people keeping themselves to themselves due to the Omicron Covid surge, followed by the winter storms, and the cold weather.
Now that better times have arrived, more people are enjoying reconnecting with others in their homes and gardens, especially with The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations on the way.
Steve Clayton said: “We have been very busy! This time of year is the perfect time to install festoon lighting in your gardens and outside your homes.
“It has been great seeing some sunshine back. It is getting warmer! Lots of people have been getting together in their gardens, and beautiful lighting creates the perfect atmosphere.
“If anyone would like festoon lighting put up in their gardens then please give us a call and get us booked in.
“Lots of people are asking us for festoon lighting at the moment. We are installing lighting over people’s pergolas, over their patio areas, in their front or back gardens.
“We can install festoon lighting any time of the year, but it is proving to be really popular at the moment.
“Customers have been keen to have the lighting in place ready for these warmer spring and summer nights coming in.”

IllumiDex earned national acclaim last year when they created the ‘boulevard of light’ on Lord Street in Southport town centre, with 300,000 lights along both sides of the mile-long Victorian shopping boulevard. The commission was made by Southport BID.
Last year lllumiDex also installed: the glittering Christmas tree in Southport town centre; Christmas lighting and decorations in Southport town centre and in Formby; festive decorations at The Atkinson in Southport; decorations at Central 12 and Ocean Plaza retail parks in Southport; plus lighting and decorations at Southport Market.
The firm has also been busy creating eye-catching lighting outside local businesses such as Peaky Blinders, Remedy, Ra Bar, the Masons Arms, The Pavilion, and others.
IllumiDex also creates beautiful lighting around trees and outside homes across the region.
