It’s back! The Stand Up For Southport People’s Choice Award is your chance to say the biggest thank you to those local NHS heroes that have gone the extra mile for you or your family.
Last year Bereavement Midwife, Joanne Unsworth, was victorious following your nominations praising her outstanding care.
Joanne was nominated for the support she gives to parents who have sadly lost their child and was described as the “a true angel that helps parents to grieve, rebuild and prepare for the future.’’
This year’s winner will be honoured at the Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Awards ceremony in the Liverpool Arena on July 4th.
As well as the People’s Choice Award, there will also be a number of other awards presented on the evening including Employee and Team of the Year.
The event is all about celebrating and recognising the amazing staff at Southport and Ormskirk hospitals, the North West Spinal Injuries Centre and community NHS sites. Nominations can be for an individual member of staff or a team, ward or department.
The event is at no cost to the NHS.
