Wayfarers is for the first time holding two ‘makers markets’ when visitors to the iconic arcade in Southport can experience something completely new.

There will be over 27 stalls selling exclusive and desirable gifts for Christmas at affordable prices on Saturday, 27th November and Saturday, 4th December.

Local makers at the arcade will be selling limited edition, unique and desirable crafts making this an ideal opportunity for everyone to complete their Christmas gift list.

Visitors from far and wide enjoy the exclusive atmosphere of Wayfarers Shopping Arcade, Lord Street Southport, especially during the festive period when it is dressed in its festive finery.

This year the 120-year-old Victoria arcade is going to have animated figures and be lit up with thousands of lights.

It is part of a range of Christmas attractions appearing in Southport this November in December, with a Gingerbread Trail, a Trail of Trees, the UK’s first Digital Christmas Experience, and much more besides.

Attending the craft fair at Wayfarers Shopping Arcade  is a great opportunity to support local businesses and get that Christmas list sorted.

Centre Manager, Yvonne Burns said: “We have long been known for supporting smaller enterprises. Most of our tenants are independent small businesses. But as it is the festive season, we want to reach out and support other local, small enterprises that have interesting goods to sell.

“The 4th December is Small Business Saturday and we have decided to enable smaller businesses to be part of this special day. Also, on 4th December we will be launching our Santa experience / grotto which is always a sellout so we are looking forward to a very busy day.”
