The people supporting the Queenscourt Fundraising team have the opportunity to enable the successful operation of an exciting array of events which include the Star Trekk Walk, the Santa Sprint and others.

The volunteers bring all manner of skills, experience and knowledge to Queenscourt in the pursuit of providing patients and families with compassionate palliative care services.

In the 12 months prior to the pandemic, Queenscourt volunteers committed to 104,000 hours of volunteering for the hospice.

In 2021, Queenscourt’s exceptional volunteers were presented with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS), the MBE for voluntary groups, by representatives of Her Majesty The Queen, at Queenscourt Hospice in Southport.

Queenscourt Hospice provides exceptional palliative care for around 2,000 local patients and their loved ones across West Lancashire, Formby and Southport every year, both in the

hospice itself, and also through hospice at home services.

Less than 20% of Queenscourt’s funding comes from the NHS, so the hospice relies heavily on the generosity of the wider community – through fundraising, donating and volunteering – to help Keep Queenscourt in Service.
