Trustees Week celebrates difference Sefton trustees make in building stronger communities

Trustees play a crucial role in guiding charities, non-profits, and community organisations, ensuring they thrive and create lasting change. Their commitment, often behind the scenes, helps shape charities, safeguard resources, and drive missions forward. 

Trustees’ Week helps to recognise the difference trustees in Sefton make in building stronger, more resilient communities for all.

Trustees’ Week runs from 4th-8th November 2024 and showcases and celebrates the vital role trustees hold.

Here are some local trustee roles:

Parkhaven Trust

Parkhaven Trust provides a range of services supporting older people. They are leaders in dementia care providing a range of services from care and support at home to end of life care Help Parkhaven Trust to continue to grow and deliver excellent services. They are looking for new Trustees and are particularly interested in people who have experience of introducing digital technology to organisations.

Cornerstone Library

Churchtown based community library, Cornerstone, are seeking to appoint new Trustees who can lead in areas such as Community Development, Volunteer Engagement and Premises. They are looking to benefit from the input of new Trustees who will complement the team of existing volunteers by bringing knowledge and expertise in, for example, business, health & safety, event planning, web development or a legal background.

Woodvale and Ainsdale Community Association (WACA)  

WACA  is a registered charity in Woodvale providing daytime, evening and school holiday activities for people in the local community. They are looking for a Trustee to join their board with an interest in the community who is able to support their aims and mission.
