Three shows at The Atkinson in Southport postponed with new dates revealed

Three live music shows due to take place at The Atkinson in Southport this summer have been postponed. 

New dates for China Crisis, The Unravelling Wilburys and The Counterfeit Sixties have now been revealed. 

The decision was made with theatre-goers’ safety in mind. 

An Atkinson spokesperson said: “Following guidance from Sefton Council, The Atkinson is not proceeding with full capacity audiences in July and August.

“This difficult decision has been made to protect the safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff. We understand this is disappointing to customers and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.”

 

Rescheduled performances are:

China Crisis

Cancelled date – 31 July 2021

Rescheduled date – 12 August 2022

The Unravelling Wilburys

Cancelled date – 6 August 2021

Rescheduled – 19 August 2022

The Counterfeit Sixties

Cancelled date – 28 August 2021

Rescheduled – 25 June 2022

 

An Atkinson spokesperson said: “All tickets have been automatically transferred to the new performance dates and the Box Office team have emailed all customers.

“If you are unable to attend the new performance date, you are entitled to a ticket refund, exchange, credit note, or can donate the cost to The Atkinson Development Trust. Booking fees are an administrative cost and are non-refundable.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.”
