Southport Pleasureland owner Norman Wallis has been praised for his generosity for providing a fantastic free day out for disabled guests and their carers at the Revitalise Sandpipers Centre in Southport.
The lucky recipients at Sandpipers said they are “absolutely thrilled” to be heading to see the much-awaited Day Of The Dead Festival at Southport Pleasureland this weekend.
The spectacular three-day event takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (3rd-5th November 2023) with tickets available via the Southport Pleasureland website.
Last week, Norman Wallis issued an appeal for people to nominate their favourite disabled charity organisation to be able to go and enjoy the fun this weekend.
A Revitalise spokesperson said: “We are absolutely thrilled and deeply grateful for the generosity from Norman Wallis and Southport Pleasureland.
“Yesterday, they presented the entire Revitalise Sandpipers Centre with tickets to the Day of The Dead Festival happening this weekend!
“This unexpected gift means the world to us, and we can’t wait to immerse ourselves in the vibrant celebrations of the Day of The Dead Festival.
“Your kindness and support will make this weekend an unforgettable experience for all our guests at Sandpipers.”
The Revitalise Sandpipers Centre, which is based next to the Marine Lake in Southport, is a charity which provides vital respite holidays for people with disabilities and their carers from across the UK.
A Southport Pleasureland spokesperson said: “We believe in the power of community, and our Day Of The Dead Festival offers the perfect platform to support those who make a real difference in the lives of disabled individuals.
“This year’s Day Of The Dead extravaganza promises to be a night to remember, with a show of jam-packed entertainment, captivating audiences with awe-inspiring fire-eating spinning drums and fireworks.”
