Diners at the new The White House Southport are now able to enjoy a glass of wine or a beer with their meal after the venue was granted a Premises Licence yesterday (Friday, 7th July 2023).
The former café and clubhouse, at Southport Golf Links, on Park Road West, has been busy welcoming customers after reopening its doors to the public in May as a brand new bar and brasserie.
It is operated by Sefton Hospitality Operations Ltd (SHOL), which already runs the Lake House in Waterloo and operates the Beach House concession at Ainsdale Beach.
Open seven days a week, The White House provides everything through breakfast, lunch and dinner, to afternoon tea and cocktails.
The new venture has seen the creation of 25 new jobs.
At a Licensing meeting at Bootle Town Hall yesterday, councillors granted permission for The White House Southport permission for the sale of alcohol on the premises, and the provision of recorded music between 8am and up to 11pm Monday to Sunday.
Live music is now permitted between 10am and up to 11pm each day.
The premises are open to the public between 8am and 11pm every day.

A number of conditions were agreed upon, including the presence of good quality CCTV coverage that will be operational when the premises are open for trade.
Staff will operate a Challenge 25 policy where guests who look under the age of 25 years will be invited to provide proof of ID.
Speaking in May, Sefton Hospitality Operations Ltd Chair Kellie Rixon MBE FIH said:
“The regeneration of The White House will be a fantastic boost to the area.

“We have taken a three-year agreement on this building as we can see that this is a great opportunity to provide something unique, not only for Southport but for the North West.”
Danny Bache is the Head Chef, having previously worked at The Lake House in Waterloo.
He has been hard at work perfecting the menu and the dishes, aiming to guarantee a wow factor for visitors.
House Manager will be Matt Millbanks, a Southport resident who is leading the front of house team.
