The Bold in Southport has enjoyed an overwhelming response after launching an unbeatable £5 carvery offer for senior citizens.
The historic venue reopened in January after an extensive two-week refurbishment.
The revamp included a fresh new look to the restaurant and the hotel rooms; a new-look menu overseen by Chef Director Colin Gannon; and an even better carvery, already widely recognised as the best in Southport.
Another new initiative has been the introduction of a £5 carvery deal for senior citizens, which is proving to be hugely popular. It is available Monday to Saturday.
Guests can also enjoy 2 courses for just £8 (senior citizens carvery, soup of the day or dessert of the day) or 3 courses for just £11 (senior citizens carvery, soup of the day and dessert of the day).
Mikhail Hotel and Leisure Group Chairman Andrew Mikhail said: “The response from customers to our carvery offer has been incredible!
“The Bold has been packed since we announced we were doing it. It has been incredibly popular.
“We want to make a big fuss of Southport’s senior citizens. People’s grandmas, people’s grandads, who have worked their whole lives, who have given so much to raising their families, they deserve something back.
“Our special offer to our local senior citizens is our way of saying that we understand exactly how difficult it is for so many with the cost of living crisis and the energy price struggle we have all encountered recently.
“Some of our guests have become regulars. One of them comes in by bus every day, enjoys a carvery and then heads home again.
“We want to see people leaving their homes this winter, coming out and socialising.
“Some of our diners have been coming in recently to give thank you cards to our staff, to say they appreciate what we are doing.
“It is amazing value. I don’t know anywhere else in the country offering a carvery for £5. You couldn’t cook one at home at that price!
