Southport healthcare recruitment agency Tezlom and Diddi Dance Southport, Sefton and West Lancashire have once again joined forces to foster joy and connection with local care home residents.
This time, the collaboration brought the energy and magic of dance to the residents of Aughton Park, a care home and Tezlom client in Ormskirk.
Tezlom has a strong commitment to giving back to the community. This shared sense of community care led Tezlom to partner with Diddi Dance, whose owner, Naomi, orchestrated an unforgettable intergenerational event.
The morning was filled with a variety of engaging and joyful activities, including hoop and ribbon play, dancing, singing, and even bubble-blowing. The care home’s living space was transformed into a vibrant celebration, with the young children aged 20 months – 3 years showcasing their talents.
This heartwarming initiative highlighted the therapeutic benefits of movement, music, and social connection. The residents reminisced about their dancing days and childhood memories, while the children brought infectious energy and joy, creating an atmosphere filled with shared moments and community spirit.
“Days like today remind us why we do what we do,” said Ryan Armitage, Director of Tezlom. “Partnering with Diddi Dance to bring moments of joy to the residents of Aughton Park is truly special. It’s a testament to the incredible impact we can make when we work together for the community.”
Naomi, Owner of Diddi Dance Southport, said, “We love the power of intergenerational sessions to connect people of all ages. Working alongside Tezlom has been a joy, and seeing the smiles on the resident’s and children’s faces today is what it’s all about. These moments of shared joy have benefits that ripple far beyond the event itself.”
The residents and staff were equally thrilled, as Louise, Administration Manager said “Our residents had a fabulous afternoon watching the children perform. It is very special to witness the interaction between the children and the residents. It brought a smile to everyone’s faces and a tear to our eyes. Special thanks to Tezlom and Diddi Dance for choosing Aughton Park.’
This collaboration serves as a beautiful reminder of the power of partnership in the local community to bridge generations, nurture relationships, and create lasting memories. It’s a day the residents, children, and Tezlom will cherish for a long time.
