Tapper’s cafe has been thanked for supporting the Southport Comedy Bingo Winter Socials taking place this winter.
Owner Catherine Tapper has kindly provided vouchers to be won for five winter socials – with the first winner now looking forward to calling in.
The Comedy Bingo Winter Socials take place at Southport Market every fortnight, with the next two scheduled for Wednesday, 4th December 2024 and Wednesday, 18th December 2024.
As nights grow darker and the days colder, the events aim to bring people together for fun and friendship and tackle isolation in our community.
Organised by Big Comedy UK and supported by the Halliwell Jones MINI Big Love campaign, they offer a fun and affordable way for people of all ages to have a great time and form new friendships – while being in with a chance of winning some top prizes!
Event organiser Brendan Riley said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to Catherine at Tapper’s for supporting our Comedy Bingo Winter Socials.
“Our first winner was delighted to win a Tapper’s voucher, and is looking forward to going there to enjoy some delicious breakfast or lunch.
“Our events aim to get people out of the house, meet other people and put a smile on their face this winter, so winning a Tapper’s voucher is a win-win – because it means they have an excuse to go out again!
“Tapper’s is a family-owned cafe and is such a cosy, friendly environment, it’s a great prize for someone to win and it’s good to have theory vouchers to be won by people at five shows.
“It is brilliant to have the support of local businesses for the winter socials.
“We have some fabulous prizes each time we host them, courtesy of our supporters including The Atkinson, Southport Market, Southport Flower Show, Vue Cinema, Crystal Clear Opticians, Tesco Southport, and others.

The Comedy Bingo Winter Socials see doors open at Southport Market, on King Street in Southport town centre, at 1pm, with the shows starting at 1.30pm and finishing at 3.30pm.
Tickets cost just £3 each and include all the bingo cards you need, in addition to a free cup of tea, cup of coffee, glass of wine or glass of lager.
The events have been created and are being hosted by Big Comedy UK and Southport Comedy Festival Director Brendan Riley.
People can book their place via Skiddle or the Big Comedy website www.bigcomedyuk.com
Tickets can also be bought on the door on the day of the events, subject to availability.
