Southport College is working with local company PSV media to raise awareness of its University Centre

Southport College is working with local company PSV media to raise awareness of its University Centre.

The college has wrapped a full side of one of PSV’s Cumfy Buses, showcasing that you can study for a Degree, right here in Southport.

And if you spot the bus and take a photo of it, you could win a £50 voucher to spend in Southport businesses.

Ruth Start, Head of Marketing at the college, said: “Southport College is well known as a great place for school leavers to study, but we wanted to promote that you can also achieve a full honours degree with us too.

“With more students than ever keen to study closer to home, it made sense to highlight that in Southport you really can do this on your doorstep, and using something highly visual that goes all around the town seemed the perfect ‘vehicle’ to do this.

“It has been great to work with PSV and to use a local business to promote the local University.”

The Southport College University Centre offers a wide range of HND and Degree Courses.

The classes are deliberately small, there is excellent student support and the fees are substantially lower than traditional universities. Plus many of the courses are designed using compressed hours, meaning that they can easily be combined with a full-time job or family life, particularly important if you are an adult learner, returning to education after some time.

The wrapped bus goes right across the town throughout the day, so as lockdown restrictions start to ease, why not try and spot it as part of your daily exercise?

If you do, please snap a picture with your phone and send it to [email protected] by 5pm on June 30.

The first entry drawn at random on July 1t will win a £50 voucher that can be used at a range of local Southport businesses.
