This year Southport’s Strongest returns for its fourth year with over 50 athletes signed up to compete..
It takes place at CTC Fitness, Kensington Road Industrial Estate, Hall Road, Southport PR9 0NY between 10am and 4pm on Sunday 3rd September 2023.
Competition Organiser Stuart Scott and CTC Owner Mike Tobin invite you to come and watch grass roots strongman!
Stuart said: “The competition continues to grow each year with over 50 athletes, some local and some travelling from all round the country to vie for the title of Southport’s Strongest 2023.
“The athletes, both men’s and women’s categories, will compete over five events which include:

“Lifting starts from 10am running through the day until mid-afternoon.

Mike Tobin CTC Fitness owner said: “We run a coached strongman session on a Saturday. Pplease get in touch if you would like to know more.
“What else does CTC offer?
“People often mistake what we do for Crossfit, boot camps, circuit training
“What the coaches deliver is small group training sessions.
“Everyone is coached, supported and helped with their training . However if you want to be left alone that is fine too.
“90% of our members all want the same sort of things.
“They want to move better, feel healthier, tone up, get fitter and enjoy training and exercise, so that’s exactly what we programme for.
