The maintenance team at Southport Pleasureland has welcomed Sefton’s Mayor at the park’s workshop.
Cllr Clare Carragher visited to see first-hand some of the behind-the-scenes work progressing as the attraction continues with its development of new themed lands and rides for families to enjoy.
During her tour, Cllr Carragher took time out to present team members with their ‘Working Safely’ certificates – the result of successful completion of a course approved and validated by the ‘Institution of Occupational Safety and Health’ (IOSH) in association with Health and Safety Matters Limited.
Southport Pleasureland CEO, Norman Wallis, said:
“It was a pleasure to host the Mayor’s visit and we were so pleased she made time to recognise the hard work and professionalism of our maintenance team.
“We do a lot of work in our own workshops and invest in training and development, so it was great for her to see what we do in more detail.”
Southport Pleasureland is due to reopen for the 2023 season on 18th March.
