An acclaimed Southport firm which creates beautiful homes has won a prestigious national accolade.
Marblehead Home is the winner of 25 Beautiful Homes Magazine’s 2022 Home of the Year Award.
Judges praised Marblehead Homes founders Diana and Andy Irving for transforming a modern but “rather soulless” property into “a delightful New England-style abode.”
During that time they have created some truly eye-catching designs for homes across the North West.
They are delighted to have been recognised by 25 Beautiful Homes magazine, and are featured in the March 2023 edition of the publication.
Their home development was entered for the competition early in 2022, along with more than 2,000 others.
Marblehead Home in Southport has won 25 Beautiful Homes Magazine’s 2022 Home of the Year Award.
The 25 Beautiful Homes magazine editor wrote:
“Putting this issue together has been truly exciting as we can reveal the winner of the Reader Home Awards.
“We were thrilled to photograph Diana Irving’s winning home and to discover how she and her husband Andy transformed their modern, but rather soulless, property into a delightful New England-style abode.”
Andy Irving said:
“We were actually quite surprised when 25 Beautiful Homes contacted us at the end of the year to tell us that we were the winners of this National Award – and we were asked not to publicise the fact until the feature appeared in the March 2023 magazine!
“That said, we did still confidentially tell one or two clients, and my Mum.”

Together Diana and Andy run Marblehead Home, which is a design, build and interiors company, based in Birkdale in Southport.
The firm was inspired a quarter of a century ago when the couple took a life-changing road trip.
Diana and Andy were enjoying a meandering coastal road trip just outside Boston, USA, when they stumbled upon a picturesque town called Marblehead.in 1997 and “everything just fell into place”.
They said:
“Little did we know that this small seaside town would have such a huge impact on our future.
“The weather was perfect, the people were welcoming and the views were stunning.
“This was a place we’d never been to before and yet we’d never felt so at home. We instantly fell in love with the place and its New England style and architecture.”
Today, Marblehead Home has a number of exciting projects in work – mainly around the Southport, Formby and Crosby area – but also with some further afield in South Manchester and Cheshire.
