Father Christmas

The region’s ‘biggest family Christmas experience’ is back open again this weekend.

Southport Pleasureland launched its first ever Winter season last Saturday with rides glittering with lights, visits to see Santa and Christmas trees around the park.

With just a few days left until Christmas, the attraction is looking forward to welcoming back families this Saturday (19 December).

It will then be open every single day until; 3 January 2021, with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The region’s ‘Happy HQ’ says its Winter experience will ‘bring home Christmas’ and deliver a feast of festivity for families, surrounded by Covid-19 protection best practice.

Southport Pleasureland CEO Norman Wallis said: “We have packaged a big helping of Christmas cheer at the park, with everything from people’s favourite rides to a visit to Santa’s workshop – and cheer is something we could certainly all do with right now.

“Those who visited the park over the summer will know that it has been open with full Coronavirus safety measures in place for months.

“The team knows what works and how to help make sure everyone understands the part they have to play in keeping each other safe.”

It’s not the North Pole… but the park’s little elves have been hard at work turning Pleasureland into a fabulous, festive, fun-filled family day out.

And the green-fingered among Santa’s little helpers have planted Christmas trees which, along with the established trees, will be decorated with beautiful lights.

All the rides will be shimmering too daily from Saturday 19 December until 3 January 2021 (with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day). Gates will open at 11am, with all the rides and fun starting from 12 o’clock midday.  Book online https://www.southportpleasureland.com/winter-opening/.

 Santa’s Workshop

Father Christmas will be in his Covid-safe grotto.  The elves have also been kept out of mischief building a brand-new indoor ride around Santa’s workshop to offer an experience to remember, before visitors go on to wave hello to Santa himself, and receive a lovely gift to take away.  There will be the opportunity to add this extra special treat to individual online bookings during checkout. https://www.southportpleasureland.com/winter-opening/

There will also be festive food and drink and, with a few other surprises and treats planned, it promises to be a lovely way to help families get into the festive spirit.

All tickets and Santa’s workshop experience must be booked online in advance to manage restricted capacity in the park. In line with government regulations, each booking is capped at a maximum of six people who must all be in your household or support bubble.
