Laughter and smiles will fill Southport Market this Wednesday (25th March 2026) with the Comedy Bingo Winter Social sponsored by Halliwell Jones Kia Southport during the day – followed by the popular Comedy Pub Crawl in association with Sefton Tourism in the evening!
Both events are a real bargain with admission for the Comedy Bingo Winter Social just £3 (including bingo books and a free drink).
The Comedy Pub Crawl – which will see people able to enjoy FIVE different comedians in four different venues – is just £5 per person.
With both events, tickets for either event can be booked in advance, or people are welcome to turn up and pay on the door.
Event host and organiser Brendan Riley said:
“The Easter holidays and British Summer Time both start this weekend, the days are getting brighter – and if you want even more reasons to smile, we have two fabulous comedy events at Southport Market both on the same day!
“Both are superb value at just £3 for the Winter Social and just £5 for our Comedy Pub Crawl.
“Come to whichever one you like- or why not come to both!
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to our supporters, Halliwell Jones Kia Southport and Sefton Tourism, for enabling us to keep the costs of these fun events so low so that more people can come and enjoy them.
“First up is our popular Comedy Bingo Winter Social sponsored by Halliwell Jones Kia, with doors opening at 1pm for a 1.30pm start.
“We always get a great crowd for comedy bingo gatherings. They’re inclusive and for everyone!
“Whether you’re 5 or 105, come and join us and see if your numbers come up!
“It’s a brilliant way of getting out of the house this winter and coming into a warm and welcoming environment for a real laugh.
“We have some fantastic prizes to be won too, kindly donated by a range of local businesses.
“Admission is just £3 each, which includes a free drink, and your bingo books too.
“Then, in the evening, from 7pm, come and join us for our fourth Comedy Pub Crawl!
“We used to run Comedy Pub Crawls before the pandemic and it’s fantastic to see them back, thanks to the Sefton Council Tourism team.
“People have missed them! We have had great crowds for the first ones with around 80 people on each one, and we’re looking forward to seeing another great crowd for this one.
“We all meet from 6pm at Southport Market, which is the perfect venue for anyone who wants to grab something to eat before we start from the superb traders they have inside.
“After that come and discover five superb comedians in four different Southport town centre venues for just a fiver! It’s fantastic value!
“The pub crawls are a win-win – they’re a win for Big Comedy; a win for the venues when 80 people head in on a midweek night; and a win for Sefton Council, which is keen to help grow trade for local business in Southport.
“Bring your friends, spread the word, and come out and have a cracking good laugh as we head towards Easter.”
The comedy pub crawls are organised by Big Comedy UK and funded by Sefton Council, to showcase Southport’s rich and vibrant night-time economy.
