Southport Flower boss Alan Adams has praised his team as he looks back on a hugely successful year at Victoria Park.
There is an even more exciting year ahead for 2024 when the site hosts the 100th anniversary Southport Flower Show in August, in addition to another exciting line-up of events throughout the year.
Victoria Park is currently hosting the Ice Skating Southport attraction.
The park is managed and operated by a registered charity that utilises income it generates to maintain the beautiful 34-acre site for everyone to enjoy.
Southport Flower Show and Victoria Park Events General Manager Alan Adams said: “As 2023 draws to a close I want to say a huge thank you to my wonderful team here at Southport Flower Show and Victoria Park Events.
“It’s been another challenging and extremely busy year. Not only did we deliver a very successful Flower Show, we hosted lots of other events such as the Food and Drink Festival, Car Show, Fireworks, Antiques Fair, Southport Comedy Festival, Ice Skating, Oktoberfest and of course the Seaside Weekender Music Festival.

“We’ve got another busy and very significant year ahead when we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Southport Flower Show.
“Ticket sales are already doing well, special guests have been booked and there are lots of sponsorship and hospitality options available.
“If anybody wants to get involved in this special show, which incidentally attracts over 50,000 visitors each year, is the UK’s largest independent flower show and the fourth largest paid event in the Liverpool City Region, please get in touch.
“By the way – did I mention we are a registered charity which solely relies on profits from the show and other park bookings to organise the show and manage our beautiful 34-acre park all year round?”

The 100th anniversary Southport Flower Show takes place between Thursday, 15th August and Sunday, 18th August 2024.
Tickets are on sale via the Southport Flower Show website: southportflowershow.co.uk and can also be bought at The Atkinson on Lord Street in Southport town centre.
