Southport Flower Show paid partnership
Southport Flower Show has come up smelling of roses after Merseyrail announced superb-value rail tickets for just £2 return for adults and £1 for children!
The amazing offer, which will run throughout all four days of the UK’s biggest independent flower show, was announced by Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram.
It is a further boost to Southport residents, who can save £12 off adult gate prices (venues below) while children under 16 travel FREE.
It gives residents and visitors an easy and affordable way to head to the Show at Victoria Park any day (or every day) from Thursday 20th August to Sunday 23rd August 2026.
Anyone who travels to the show by train can get a discounted ticket at any staffed Merseyrail train station.
This year’s special guests at Southport Flower Show include Iolo Williams, Megan McCubbin, Su Pollard, Rob Rinder, and Mr Motivator; television garden personalities Adam Frost, Arit Anderson, Joe Swift, and Lee Burkhill; television chefs Phil Vickery, Briony May Williams, and Candice Brown; and children’s entertainers Andy Day and Justin Fletcher.

Southport Flower Show General Manager Alan Adams said:

“It builds on the existing partnership we already have between Southport Flower Show and Merseyrail, our official Travel Partner, whereby visitors can buy discounted Show tickets from ANY Merseyrail station for just £21.
“With children under 16 also admitted free to the event, families can make substantial savings while enjoying the fourth biggest paid attraction in the Liverpool City Region.
“Last year’s Southport Flower Show was a huge success and we’re building on that with even more for people to enjoy this summer, with some big surprises still to be announced.
“You’ll find our glittering line-up of celebrity guests throughout the four days; show-stopping show gardens; our impressive Grand Floral Marquee; local and celebrity chefs in our Cookery Theatre; thrilling arena events; live music on the Piazza Stage; food and drink outlets; shopping stalls; and lots more besides.

Getting to Victoria Park from Southport Train Station is easy.
The walk takes a few minutes. There is also a shuttle bus available at Southport Train Station which will take you directly to the venue of the event: Route 27 (show days only), Southport Rail / Showground bus service.
This is a commercial service offered by Arriva, and a fee applies. Given this, bus passes cannot be accepted. This will run every 15 minutes in sync with the trains.

“The £2 fare is a great way for us to support Southport’s visitor economy by making travel to events more accessible and affordable for people across the Liverpool City Region.
“Combined with £1 child fares and the convenience of Tap & Go, this offer encourages more people to enjoy the town’s flagship attractions and contribute to the local economy.”
The fares promotion on all Merseyrail services to and from Southport will see tickets available from Merseyrail ticket offices and via Tap and Go.
The reduced-price tickets are being paid for by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority from funds recovered from train manufacturer Stadler.
Southport Flower Show 2026 will be hosted for the first time by BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Kevin Duala.
