Southport FC narrowly lost their first Vanarama National League North game of the season with a 0-1 defeat to Boston United

Spectators will return to The Pure Stadium this week to watch Southport FC in action for the first time since March.

The end of the national lockdown and its replacement by new Tier 2 restrictions for our area means that a limited number of fans can now watch games at Haig Avenue.

People have not been allowed to watch games in Southport since last season’s National League North was curtailed early in March due to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

When figures began to rise again in September and October, the Government provided financial backing to clubs to be able to resume games in empty stadiums.

But falling figures in Sefton and across the Liverpool City Region in recent weeks means that some fans will be allowed back into The Pure Stadium from this week onwards.

First up is a match against Farsley this Wednesday, 2 December, with season tickets now available.

A Southport FC spokesperson said: “Ahead of the return of fans to The Pure Stadium on Wednesday 2nd December -v- Farsley Celtic we are releasing season tickets for all sections of the stadium.

“We have very limited availability in the main stand and given the complexity of allocating seats you must apply by email to james@southportfc.net stating your name, section (Main Stand, Jack Carr or Pinetree Garden Terrace) your category ( adult, concession + any junior (12-17) or mini ports 11 and under).”

PRICING

Instalment plans are not available for these tickets.

Please note these season tickets are strictly non refundable should Southport FC be unable to permit access to spectators at any point during season 2020/21.
